'Let my grief be bigger than yours so I can put it around your grief like arms.' (please don't mind this poor translation) . The Three Muses want tea! So I expiremented with tea and I can tell you that the combination of tea, paint and glue can get really messy. But it was fun! The result is the first ATC. The second ATC is only paint and stamping. / De drie musen willen thee! Dus ik experimenteerde met thee. Ik kan je vertellen dat de combinatie van thee, verf en lijm veel rotzooi geeft. Maar het was wel leuk! De eerste ATC is het resultaat. De tweede ATC is gemaakt met verf en stempelinkt.

Some calligraphy again. The letters are hard to recognize. So they are perfect for this weeks challenge at The Three Muses: Incognito. They were inspired by old African alphabets. The background is quink ink and the letters are written with bleach. / Weer wat kalligrafie. De letters zijn moeilijk te herkennen. Dus perfect voor de challenge van deze week: Incognito. De letters zijn gebaseerd op oude Afrikaanse alfabetten. De achtergrond is gemaakt met quink inkt en de letters zijn geschreven met bleek.

This week's theme at The Three Muses is newspaper. I made a transfer with gesso of a newspaper page and drew a heart. Added a stamp and this is the result. /Deze week is het thema krant bij de drie musen. Met gesso heb ik een transfer gemaakt van een krantenpagina en er een hart op getekend. Toen een stempel toegevoegd en dit is het resultaat.

Oh man! This was a difficult one. In everyday life I can deal with men very well but when it comes to crafting.... I decided to keep it simple. This is a picture of my grandfather, my father (with the cigar) and an uncle. I don't know what they were doing but I've always wondered. The light of the lamp gave this picture a mysterious look. I made the picture look more old and gave it little bit of color. / Oh man! Deze was moeilijk. De Three Muses wilden mannen zien. Uiteindelijk heb ik besloten het simpel te houden. Deze foto van mijn opa, vader (met sigaar) en een oom heb ik altijd geheimzinnig gevonden. Het licht van de lamp geeft een mysterieuze sfeer aan de foto. Ik heb me altijd afgevraagd wat ze nou eigenlijk aan het doen waren. Ik heb de foto een meer verweerd uiterlijk gegeven en een paar kleurtjes aangebracht.

About 35 years ago I picked this violets out of my father's garden (I had his permission) and I dried them. Many years they lay forgotten on a shelf. Last year I found them and made this ATC with them. / Zo'n 35 jaar geleden plukte ik deze viooltjes uit mijn vaders tuin (met zijn toestemming) en droogde ze. Ik ben de eerste uitdaging van dit jaar aangegaan. The Three Muses hebben engelen als thema.

De gestippelde achtergrond is afkomstig van de binnenkant van een envelop van de energiemaatschappij (Ja, ik heb het al eerder gebruikt). De engel is een gescand poesieplaatje uit het album van mijn lieve schoonmoeder. Het album is van 1935. / This is my first challenge I attacked in this new year. The Three Muses have angels as a theme. The dotted background is from the inside of a envelop. (Yes, I used it before). The angel is a scan from an album of my dear mother in law. The album is from 1935. In this album family and friends wrote little poems and decorated the page with this sort of images.

Tijd is altijd een mooi thema. Tijd gaat snel of kruipt voorbij. Het is ongrijpbaar maar we willen er wel grip op hebben. We komen tijd tekort of we hebben een zee van tijd. Als je jong bent lijkt het eeuwig te duren voordat je groot bent en als je oud bent is alles veel te snel gegaan. Dit is mijn bijdrage voor deze week . De plaatjes die ik gebruikt heb, zijn freebies van verschillende blogs. Aan de rechterkant in mijn blog kan je de links vinden. Twee ATC's met sleutels voor de uitdaging van deze week bij The Three Muses. Vorige week was ik op de Krea Doe, waar ik onder andere een paar nieuwe stempels gekocht heb. Daar moest ik natuurlijk mee spelen. Voor beide ATC's heb ik dezelfde stempels gebruikt. / Two ATC's with keys for this weeks challenge at The Three Muses. Last week I visited the Krea Doe , a big event with loads of creative shops, where I bought some new stamps. Of course I wanted to play with them. I used the same stamps for both ATC's.

The three muses have a beautiful theme again. Long ago and far away. Today I made a picture in the woods that was dark and spooky. I photoshopped it a bit and then used it as a background. Then with a pair of scissors and glue I made this ATC. My mind went to the past and places far away ...... / Lang geleden en ver weg , dat is het thema deze week. Ik heb vandaag in het bos een foto gemaakt die nogal donker en spookachtig was. Die heb ik een beetje veranderd met een fotoshop programma en gebruikt als achtergrond. Verder is deze ATC gemaakt met plak- en knipwerk. Mijn gedachten gingen naar het verleden en plaatsen ver weg......

De drie muzen hebben deze week een erg leuke uitdaging. Haar!! Wat kan je je daar lekker mee uitleven. Ik heb 'droedel'haar gemaakt. Terwijl je bijvoorbeeld aan de telefoon bent ben je gedachteloos aan het tekenen op een kladje papier. Dat wordt geloof ik 'droedelen' genoemd. En mocht je je afvragen hoe mijn eigen haar eruit ziet..... niet zo! :) De scan werd donkerder dan het origineel en alle gouden glinstering is te niet te zien./ This weeks challenge at The Three Muses is so much fun. Hair!! You can really go wild with that theme. When you're on the phone you can make thoughtless drawings. Well that's what I did and I made very big hair with it. In case you're wondering what my hair looks like.... not like this! :) The scan came out to be a bit darker than the original and it doesn't show all the golden sparkles.

The Three Muses want to see our pockets. Nothing but a handkerchief there. But two years ago I made a picture of the content of my son's pocket before putting his coat in the washing machine. This is from one pocket. The other pocket was full of sand. I did not alter the picture. I think it's good the way it is. / The Three Muses willen onze zakken zien. Maar daar zit alleen een zakdoek in. Twee jaar geleden heb ik een foto gemaakt van de inhoud van mijn zoon's jas. Dit is uit 1 zak. In de andere zak zat alleen zand. Weer thuis na een prachtige vakantie. Vier weken rondgevaren, voornamelijk langs de Belgische kust en op de Oosterschelde. Ik heb een vakantie logboek bijgehouden. En natuurlijk ook een beetje zitten plakken en knippen. Het paard dat jullie zien is getekend door mijn dochter van 11. / Back home after a terrific holiday. For four weeks we have been sailing along the Belgian coast and in the south of The Netherlands, mainly on the Oosterschelde. I made notes every day in our holiday logbook. Of course I have also cutted and glued a bit. The horse you see has been made by my 11 year old daughter. The holiday was super and now it's good to be back home. And I'm curious to be hearing from all of you again and enjoying your beautiful crafts.

Lieve bloggers, ik neem een blogvakantie. De komende 5, 6 weken doe ik geen challenges. Ik ga samen met man en kinderen genieten van veel vrije tijd. Dat betekent niet dat ik helemaal niet meer in Blogland zal zijn. Ik zal het waarschijnlijk toch niet kunnen laten om zo nu en dan even te kijken. En natuurlijk blijf ik ook gewoon knutselen. Ik ben nu een vakantie logboekje aan het voorbereiden. Zie foto. / Dear blogfriends, I'm taking a blog holiday. For the next 5, 6 weeks I won't be doing any challenges. Together with husband and children I will be enjoying our holiday. That doesn't mean I won't be blogging at all. Probably I cannot resist to look around blogland every once in a while. Red flowers for Thank God it's Friday. I used a piece of wallpaper for the background, the frame is from a collage sheet and the woman from a freebies site ( I don't remember which one). The roses are 3d. / Rode bloemen voor TGiF. I heb een stuk behang als achtergrond gebruikt, de lijst is van een collage sheet en de vrouw komt van een freebies site. (Ik weet niet meer welke). De rozen zijn 3d.

This really is a great theme! I used a tulip painted by my niece Kim (www.kim-jansen.nl) and Heerlijk Brocante. The grass is from a brochure on green energy, the face from a brochure on party wigs and the hat from a collage sheet. The castle is a freebie from.... sorry I don't remember. I had fun creating this one. Visit the 3 Muses for more surrealism. / Dit is een leuk thema! Ik heb een tulp geschilderd door mijn nicht(je) Kim gebruikt. Het thema bij Sunday Postcard Art is nesten. Dit plaatje had ik nog liggen en bij deze vogels denk ik al snel aan babies. /The theme at SPA is nests. This picture was laying around somewhere. These birds are believed to deliver babies so I put a baby on the card.

Think Monday Think ATC heeft als thema zomer zonnewende. De zonnewende is op 21 juni als lente zomer wordt. De Indianen vieren dit met rituelen. Bij Stonehenge vinden ook festiviteiten plaats. Ik heb die twee gegevens gecombineerd. / TMTA has summer solstice as theme. The solstice is the 21st of June when spring becomes summer. Indian people celebrate this with rituals. At Stonehenge there are festivities as well. I combined the two.

Zwart plus maximaal twee kleuren. Dat is de opdracht bij Make a Moo or Two. Ik wilde zwart met groen en zilver. Maar toen ik met een zwarte marker over mijn zwarte achtergrond ging om een paar dingetjes te verbergen kleurde het donkerrood op. Ik heb het zo gelaten en nog wat extra strepen gezet. En zilver is niet echt een kleur toch??? / Black and max. two colors. That's the challenge at MaMoT. I wanted black with green and silver. But when I used a black marker to hide some things it went darkred on the black background. I left it that way and even put some more stripes on it. And silver isn't really a color, is it????

So when I found out about this three muses who wanted to see me altered I decided to have a complete makeover. De uitdaging bij Wednesday Stamper is een interpretatie van een fee te geven. Maar bij gebrek aan een fee is het een elf geworden. Een elf is toch een soort mannelijke fee... :) / Give your interpretation of a fairy is the challenge at WS. Since I could not find a fairy I decided to use an elf. Anyway, an elf is a male fairy isn't it :)

Muziekinstrument is het thema bij Make a Moo or Two. Dat moest iets met een accordeon worden! Mijn vader speelde accordeon en toen ik klein was vond ik dat geweldig. Als puber vond ik het verschrikkelijk en nu roept accordeonmuziek weemoedige gevoelens op. Ik heb de moo op een ATC achtergrond geplakt om hem beter uit te laten komen. / Instrument is the theme at MaMoT. That had to be something with a accordion! My father played the accordion and as a child i liked it a lot. As a teenager I hated it and now the sound of an accordion makes me sad and longing for yesterday. I put the moo on a ATC background in order to show it off.
